Cool dry winters are ideal for spotting migrant birds as they head north for the winter, while the hot wet summers are ideal for game drives as predators bask in their time of plenty.

As April rolls along the first signs of the changing season begin to appear. In May the nights are cooler and the breeding herds of elephant come to visit the permanent waters. By the close of the season winter is upon the Delta and the African wild dogs begin to search for their dens.
